I am a psychedelic researcher interested in transitioning to clinical work. Are there any MD medical school programs you would suggest during which medical students learn or get experiences in psychedelic medicine? (Psychiatry or Neurology focused…) Hannah McLane MD (SoundMind Philly) : David: no, as far as I know there aren’t yet. You could look for places with research depts but in terms of getting clinical experience you may need to find a place near a KAP clinic and then propose a rotation. We are designing a rotation for a psychiatry resident at University of Pennsylvania and I can put you in touch with him if you want. Devon Christie : I believe Rachel Yehuda is leading something in NYC at Mt Sinai Beth Gibbons : Is there interest BIPOC communities in participating in psychedelic therapeutic experiences? How do you help people of other races/backgrounds feel comfortable? caitlin : Why can't I see David's question? I only see the answers...and I'm curious what he asked! I'm creating a exit plan and looking for the best path and possibly for future ketamine. Right now I'm microdosing. Alli Feduccia : There are currently no MD programs teaching psychedelic therapies kassandra to All panelists : Pretty. Not betty caitlin : Thanks, David Jacalyn Brecher : Re BIPOC question you might want to follow up with Black Therapists Rock which has a partnership with IFS leadership and is pursuing psychedelic work Alli Feduccia : http://www.monnicawilliams.com/ Devon Christie : YES to Jacelyn Sharon Katz to All panelists : The complex medical psychiatric treatment applications are critical to develop research.
